Tangalooma in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia, is one of very few sites in the world where people can actually mingle with dolphins in their natural habitat when they come to feed at the beach at night. They usually come to the beach every evening around 7pm in summer.

A pod of wild dolphins, between 7 and 9 visit the beach near the jetty daily at sunset. Viewing these dolphins from the well lit jetty. There is seating available to see this extrodinary behaviour of these beautiful wild dolphins.

Marine biologist are on hand to give a presentation and talk the guest through information on dolphins and the conservation of their environment.

If you are a guest of the Tangalooma resort, depending on, weather, tides and other conditions will determine the number of participants able to feed the dolphins due to the strict guidlines in place to protect them. These are wild dolphins and therefore come to the resort of their own accord. Visitors are not permitted to touch with, pat or swim with the dolphins. They come to the beach and take the fish as a sign of trust.

As a guest of the Tangalooma resort, you are advised to contact them to book ahead to ensure your dolphin feeding experience can be confirmed. Only rarely do the dolphins do not come in to feed, this is usually due to extremly rough weather, which is rare due to Tangaloomas location on the western beach of Moreton Island.
